In the summer of 2019, after many years of planning, AHSR Rangers and countless other volunteers started/completed the construction of two four-season cabins, both identical.
One cabin is named “Odawa House”. This cabin has a total of 10 beds (5 bunk beds), with storage shelves for camping gear; heated by propane and lighting provided by 12v LED lights with USB charging ports (for smartphones).
“Odawa House” gets it’s name from the former Area, Odawa, in which Apple Hill Scout Reserve resides. Little did we know that in late 2020, SC National would remove Areas, and condensing all Groups in Eastern Ontario into a single Council, Voyageur Council.
